On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Arredondo, Breihan, Hansen, Cavazos, Hyatt, Sutton James NAY: The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS,' AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, ENTITLED "PUBLIC SAFETY", SAID ORDINANCE BEING RECORDED IN VOLUME 45, PAGE 172 OF THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Hyatt moved the ordinance be adopted on third and final reading. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion which passed unanimously. At 9:50 p.m., Mr. Hyatt moved the meeting recess to executive session to discuss personnel matters and pending litigation. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The meeting reconvened at 11:15 p.m. on motion of Mr. Hansen and second of Mr. James. The Mayor reported that the Council had discussed alleged irregularities in the employment of persons under the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act. Mr. James moved to request that the Williamson-Burnet County Opportunities, Inc., administrator of the local C.E.T.A. Program, be requested to conduct a full investigation includ- ing every city C.E.T.A. position and not simply those in question. Mr. Hyatt seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Arredondo requested the report be sent to the Department of Labor. The meeting adjourned at 11:17 p.m. on motion of Mr. Cavazos and second of Mr. Hyatt. t?~C~ Mayor ~~~ Frank T.
