<br />13 <br /> <br />regular meeting, april 25, 1977 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />The Mayor read an Ordinance having the following caption: <br /> <br />" <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING <br />THE PRICE AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE 'CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS OF PARCEL NO. 10-lA, DESCRIBED FURTHER ON EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO, <br />LOCATED WITHIN THE TEX. A-6, NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AREA, TO <br />MORGAN FUSCHAK, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A W~Y ,DEED TO MORGAN <br />FUSCHAK. <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved the Ordinance be approved on first readdng. Mr. James secondecL <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I The Mayor read an Ordinance having the following caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, I TEXAS APPROVING <br />THE PRICE AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS OF PARCEL NO. l3A-9 AND PARCEL NO. l3A-lO, LOCATED WITHIN THE TEX. A,-6 <br />NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AREA, TO EVA RODRIGUEZ, AUTHORIZING THE M,^YOR <br />TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO EVA RODRIGUEZ, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mr. Cavazos moved the Ordinance be adopted as an emergency. Mr; Hansen seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING <br />THE CAPITAL AREA PLANNING COUNCIL TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE CRIMINAL <br />JUSTICE DIVISION AND TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />CORPORATION FOR THE PURCHASE AND MAINTENANCE OF ONE HIGHSPEED VIDEO TERMINAL <br />DEVICE; AND AGREEING TO PAY THE 15% CASH COMMITMENT REQUIRED TO PARTICIPA1'E IN <br />THE PROJECT AND TO CONTINUE THE OEERATION OF THE FUNDED EQUIPMENT FOR THE USEFUL <br />LIFE OF THE EQUIPMENT. <br /> <br />Mr. James moved the Resolution be adopted. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, wh;lch <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor read' the' caption of a Resolution as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPOINTING <br />A PRESIDING JUDGE TO CONDUCT THE SPECIAL ELECTION CALLED FOR APRIL 30, 1977 <br />IN ELECTION PRECINCT #34 IN SAN MARCOS, TEXAS. <br /> <br />D~. Craddock,moved the Resolution be adopted. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />......... <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration a proposal for revision of the minimum fine <br />schedule for parking violations. Municipal Court Judge Larry Murphree appeeB.ed <br />before the Council to recommend that the minimum fines for improper parking and <br />parking in a restricted zone be lowered from $10.00 to $5.00. Judge Murphree told <br />the Council that there was currently an increase of $9.00 between parking metl~r <br />violations and other parking violation fines, and that he felt that was prob~oly no <br />e'luitable. The City Attorney conc\1rred in the recommendation and suggested the Council, <br />authorize ordering new parking fine envelopes to reflect the revised schedule. <br />Mayor Craddock moved to authorize the purchase and revision; Mr. Cavazos seconded the <br />motion, which passed' ~~~, with 6 votes in favor of and Mr. James voting "Nay". <br />- cw <br />The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: 5/9/ <br /> <br />ill" <br />\.1.-.: <br /> <br />"-"'"t <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN MARCOS CONSCLIDATED <br />INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR PAYMENT IN LIEQ OF TAXES FOR TAX YEARS, 1966-1975, <br />SAID PAYMENT TO CONSIST OF CERTAIN CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE COSTS 'PERTAINING <br />TO PETER GARZA LANE. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock moved the !"contr.aetn be amended to delete Section 3 o;t'g,tp~' contract <br />which would have allowed review of the agreement, and to approve the Resolution. <br />Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />
