Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Herbert A. Yarbrough, Jr., president of the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, came <br />before the Council to propose consideration of lease of a portion of city property, <br />previously designated as a site for a museum,for a new chamber office. Mr. Yarbrough <br />stated that the minimum period of time for the lease would be 50 years in order for <br />financing to be obtained, and that the chamber was prepared to begin immediatelJ' if <br />the Council were agreeable. By common consent, the Council requested the staff research <br />the matter and present at a later date for further consideration. <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock moved to cancel the June 6 regularly scheduled meeting since a quorum <br />of members would not be present. ~tr.
