At 8: 20 p.m. Mr. Breihan m:JVed the Council recess to Executive Session to discuss property acquisition. Mr. Sutton seconded the IOC>tion. The Council was presented with a letter of objection to the Executive Session by Gary Bond of radio station KCNY. The Mayor stated that he had received objections fran several rnenbers of the press but that he had obtained a legal opinion confirming the propriety of I discussing the Lower Colorado River Authority' 5 offer of the sale of its San Marcos plant to the City in Executive Session. Juan palaro stated his contention that the first discussions on the IlI3.tter would be of a general nature only and said he didn't think it was right to keep the proceedings secret when the discussion was of such an important nature. On roll call, the !lOtion to recess to Executive Session passed with the follCM'ing vote: AYE: Arredondo, Hansen, Sutton, Breihan NAY: Cavazos The Council reconvened in regular session at 8:40 p.m. on !lOtion of Mr. Hansen and ,'.', second of Mr. Breihan.
