139 MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN HARCOS, TEXAS HELD OCTOBER 3, 1977. I Present: Mayor Council Members Frank T. Arredondo Ted Breihan Robert L. Cavazos Emmie Craddock John Hansen Berry R. James Kenneth E. Sutton Ci ty Manager City Secretary City Attorney Director of Finance C.J. Webster Doriss Hambrick Charles E. Evans Earl T. Williams Also present: Jesse Vielma; Gene Gardner; Howard Herrin; Alan King; Rita James; Reeves Perry; Mary Etheredge; James E. By'm; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gonzales; Larry McInis; Diane Carbajal; Gordon Thompson; Gary Bond; and others. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Arredondo issued proclamations in observance of National Business Women's Week and Boy Scout Fund Raising Week. I The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held September 26, 1977, were approved on motion of Mr. Cavazos and second of Mr. Hansen. Mayor Arredondo recognized and commended the retiring members of the Library Board: Kay Burton, who served as chairman for three years; Margie Villalpando; Bill Daniels. Mr. Arredondo moved to appoint Mrs. Diane Carbajal, Mrs. Pat Gonzales, Mrs. Mary Etheredge and Mr. Luis Delgadillo to terms on the Library Board. Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows:: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION THREE OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES, AND LAND DATED MAY 23, 1966, VOL. 32, BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF BLOCK THREE IN THE ORIGINAL TOWN OF SAN MARCOS LOCATED ON C.M. ALLEN PARKWAY FROM P-l (PUBLIC) TO "c" (COMMERCIAL). Dr. Craddock moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. James seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mayor Arredondo directed that an ordinance be read in its entirety having the following caption: I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT SECTION OF CHAPTER 29 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES ENTITLED TRAFFIC WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 1975-14, DATED MARCH 24, 1977, LOCATED IN VOLUME 44, PAGE 185 OF THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL BY CHANGING THE SECTION NUMBER FOR DESIGNATED STOP SIGNS FROM SECTION 29-119 TO SECTION 29-122, AS NOW CODIFIED, AND BY ESTABLISHING ADDITIONAL INTERSECTIONS FOR THE AUTHORIZED LOCATION OF STOP SIGNS. Dr. Craddock moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
