A-6, Neighborhood Redevelopment <br />Program Area, to Baltazar and Rosa Saenz; Authorizing the <br />Mayor to Execute a Warranty Deed to Baltazar and Rosa <br />Saenz; and Declaring an Emergency. <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock moved the Ordinance be adopted on emergency basis. Mr. Breihan <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimcusly. <br /> <br />The Mayor read an Ordinance having the following caption: <br /> <br />!ill Ordinance of the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, Providing That That Portion of That Unnamed Street <br />Dedicated in the Plat of the Charles Meiners Addition to the <br />City of San Marcos, From U. S. Highway 81 to Mill Street and <br />That Portions of Those Alleys Remaining Out of the W.O. <br />Meiners First Suburban Addition to the City of San Marcos, <br />be Vacated, Abandoned, and Closed; Providing for the Reversion <br />of the Fee in Said Lands to the Adjacent Property Owners; <br />Directing the Mayor to Execute and Delivery Quitclaim Deeds <br />to Said Owners; and Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock rroved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Hansen <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read a Resolution having the following caption: <br /> <br />A Resolution of the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, Urging the United States Arm:! Corps of Engineers to <br />Construct a Dam or Dams on the Blanco River Northwest of <br />San Marcos or West of Wimberley and Supporting Flood Control <br />and Water Conservation Methods to Meet the Needs of Citizens <br />and to Protect the Envirorurent. <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton rroved the Resolution be adopted. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion. I <br />Dr. Craddock pointed out that the Council had previously passed a similar <br />resolution and that she felt it was improper for the Council to make recom- <br />mendations to the Corps of Engineers when the Corps was in the process of <br />a comprehensive study on the question of flood control in the Blanco River. <br />Dr. Craddock rroved consideration of the resolution be tabled. Mr. Hansen <br />seconded the motion.
