I

I

I

,~,

~)

21

Page Two
Conmuni ty Development
December 16, 1977

5. I would still reconmend that $20,000 for the southside
fire station be allocated and $100,000 be set aside for tlte sewer system
analysis.

6. I would recommend that the direction for housing assistance only be
specified as the three previously approved areas and Victoria I and II.
If we add the Wallace Addition and Westover we will so split up our work"
we will m3ke an insignificant impact. If the Council allocates as much
as $800,000 to housing we can only do 40 to 50 houses. If we try to
do the work in six different areas we will have to do work selectively
rather than clearing whole areas out. Seven houses in each area will be
urmoticeable.

7. I have attached a list of projects which have been previously
discussed. The amendments to it include: the addendums to Drainage
Confluence Year II projects - Fredricksburg ($50,000), North St. ($27,000),
North Hopkins Channel ($25,000) and Blanco Street ($5,000); furbara Drive
outfall line ($90,000) and Riverside outfall line ($25,000).

CJW/kb
