Mr. James seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The City Secretary read an ordinance in its entirety having the <br />following caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRICE <br />AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OF A PORTION OF PARCEL <br />NO. 10-l, DESCRIBED FURTHER ON EXHIBIT "A" <br />ATTACHED HERETO, ALSO KNO,VN AS URBAN RENEWAL <br />PARCEL NO. 10-1, LOCATED WITHIN THE TEX. <br />A-6, NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AREA, <br />TO JOHNNY FINCH; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO JOHNNY FINCH; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved the ordinance be approved on first reading. <br />Mr. Breihan seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a public hearing to consider a request for <br />a change in zoning of approximately 1.l67 acres out of the T. <br />J. Chambers Survey, from "R-l" to "D". Councilman Kenneth E. <br />Sutton represented the applicant, Mr. George E. Roberts. The Mayor <br />noted that the Planning & Zoning Commission had recommended approval <br />of the request. No objections were presented to the request. The <br />Mayor closed the pUblic hearing and the City Secretary read <br />an ordinance having the following caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION <br />3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND <br />RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, I <br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) <br />BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF APPROXIMATELY l.167 <br />ACRES OUT OF THE T. J. CHAMBERS SURVEY FURTHER <br />DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE ATTACHED <br />EXHIBIT A LOCATED AT 1244 NORTH LBJ DRIVE FROM <br />R-l (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO D (MULTI-FAMLLY). <br /> <br />Mr. Hyatt moved the ordinance be approved on first reading. <br />Mr. James seconded the motion. The property is described as Lots 16 through <br />19 of Block C, Lots 16 through 36 of Block E and Lots 10 through <br />18 of Block F of the Hughson Heights Addition No. Two to be zoned <br />R-l; Lots 14 and 15 of Block C, Lots 19 through 2l of Block F and <br />Lots 1 through 14 of Block L of the Hughson Heights Addition No. I <br />Two to be zoned R-2; and Lots 26 through 39 of Block D and all of <br />Block M of the Hughson Heights Addition No. Two to be zoned D. <br />The applicant is C. C. Hughson. Mr. H. Garland Stokes appeared <br />before the Council to discuss the proposed development of the Subdivision <br />Addition.
