<br />82 <br /> <br />regular meeting <br /> <br />october 22, 1979 <br /> <br />page four <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance which was read in its entirety. <br />The caption is as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION <br />15.2, ENTITLED "TEMPORARY USE OF LAND BY ~mBILE <br />HOMES" OF APPENDIX A, ENTITLED "GENERAL ZONING <br />ORDINANCE" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID i <br />CITY BY DELETING THE PROVISION WHICH MANDATES <br />DENIAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR A PERMIT TO <br />TEMPORARILY PLACE A MOBILE HOME UPON OPPOSITION <br />BY AN OWNER OF LAND WITHIN TWO HUNDRED (200) <br />FEET IN EACH DIRECTION; BY DELETING THE PROVISION <br />WHICH ALLOWS THE OWNER OF PROPERTY WITHIN TWO <br />HUNDRED (200) FEET OF THE PROPOSED LOCATION TO <br />CAUSE REMOVAL OF THE MOBILE HOME AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. James moved the ordinance be approved on 1st reading. Mr. <br />Breihan seconded the motion. Mr. Sutton requested the Council <br />require all future permits to be issued only when the mobile <br />home has a separate water meter. The City Attorney was; directed <br />to ascertain whether such a requirement was provided' 'for iri the <br />building code. On roll call, the motion to approve the'ordinance <br />on first reading passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayar1ntroduced a request by Mrs. Lupe Juarez for renewal <br />of a permit to temporarily locate a mobile home on Lot 8 of the <br />A.M. Ramsay Addition, 402 Mill Street. Mr. Cavazos moved the <br />permit be renewed. Mr. Tenorio seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced a request from Tom Murray to temporarily locatel <br />a mobile home on Lot 77 of the A.M. Ramsay Addition, 105 Seguin <br />Street. Mr. Cavazos moved the permit be approved. Mr. James <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ADOPTING NEW RULES AND REGULATIONS <br />FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE SAN MARCOS <br />CEMETERY. \ <br /> <br />Mr. James moved the Resolution be adopted. Mr. Sutton seconded <br />the motion. Mr. Tenorio reminded Staff that he had requested <br />information regarding the feasibility of removing all existing <br />curbing from the cemetery and encouraged the Council to defer making <br />a decision on removing the prohibition against curbing until that <br />information had been received.
