Veramendi League No.1. Mr. James Hearne, applicant, <br />was present to request the change. There was no one to <br />speak against the change. The Mayor declared the Public <br />Hearing closed. <br /> <br />Mayor Etheredge introduced an ordinance and read the caption <br />as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH I <br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, <br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY <br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN 1.77 ACRES OUT OF <br />THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.1, ABUTTING ON INTERSTATE <br />HIGHWAY 35 AND LYING BETWEEN SOUTH L.B.J. DRIVE AND <br />SOUTH GUADALUPE STREET, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO <br />"C-2" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Mr. King, noting that the planning and Zoning Commission had <br />recommended approval of the change, moved the ordinance be <br />approved on first reading. Dr. Tauch seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for <br />a change in zoning of lots 5, 6 and part of 4, Block 10, in <br />the Lindsey and Harvey Addition. Mrs. J. Lloyd Read, applicant, <br />and Dr. Walter Meyer were present to request the change. There <br />was no one to speak against the change. The Mayor declared <br />the Public Hearing closed. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance and read the caption as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br />WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br />OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 ~, I, <br />(VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOTS 5, 6 AND <br />PART OF 4, BLOCK 10 IN THE LINDSEY AND HARVEY ADDITION, <br />LOCATED ON THE CORNER OF HUTCHISON AND MOORE STREETS, <br />FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Dr. Tauch moved the ordinance be approved on fir~t reading. <br />Mr. King seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a public Hearing to consider a request for <br />a change in zoning on part of Lot 6, Block 20, in the San <br />Marcos Addition. There was no one to speak for or against the <br />change. The Mayor closed the Public Hearing. <br /> <br />Councilman King moved the ordinance amending the General <br />Zoning Ordinance be tabled until the applicant was present to <br />request the change. Mr. DeLa Rosa seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a public Hearing to consider a request for a <br />change in zoning on a 70 x 135 foot parcel of land out of the <br />T.J. Chambers Survey, located on the southeast corner of Ranch <br />Road 12 and West Holland Street. Mr. Tom Harwood, attorney <br />representing the applicant, Mr. Bobby Gordon, came before the <br />Council to request the zoning, stating that the Planning and I <br />Zoning Commission had recommended approval. There was no one <br />to speak against the change. The Mayor declared the Public <br />Hearing closed. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance and read the caption as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br />WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br />OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 <br />(VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF A 70 X 135 FOOT <br />PARCEL OF LAND OUT OF THE T.J.
