or the drug sfLTilple is placed in several test tubes eachof Hhich contains

a different chemical solution. By observing the color that develops

in each test tube and comparing this to a series of known drugs in the

S~~e chemical solutions, the unknown drug can be identified.

l'Ie developed fourteen (14) separate color tests hhich can be used

to identify the follmiing drugs: Benzedrine, Dexedrine) Methedrene

(speed), STP, Seconal, Pentobarbital, Phenobarbital, Aprobarbital,

Butabarbital, A~obarbital, Codeine, Cocaine, Procaine, Lidocaine,

Tetracaine, Morphine, Ethylmorphine, Heroine, Methadone, Opi~~, LSD,

Mescaline, PCP, Psilocybin, Marihuana, Hashish, Cannabinol, THC, Quin-

ine, and Strychnine. Even though \~e did not have al of the drugs to

test at the time we worked out this analysis scheme, we developed the

color tests for families of drugs. Therefore, if one drug of a family

works for the chemical test developed, then all of the other drugs in

the family will also work. The families of drugs we developed color

tests for are as follows:

AMPHETAMINES:
BARBITURATES:

Benzedrine, Dexedrine, Methedrene (Speed), STP

Seconal, Pentobarbital, Phenobarbi'tal, Aprobarbi tal,

Butabarbital, Amobarbital

Procaine, Lidocaine, Tetracaine, Cocaine

'Codeine, Ethylmorphine, Heroine, Opium, Methdadone, Morphine

Mescaline, PSilocybin, PCP, LSD

COCAINE:
MORPHINE:
LSD:
