<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES
<br />AND RESTR.LCT~ T$ LtlCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND
<br />LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF
<br />BLOCK 43 IN THE VICTORY GARDENS SECOND ADDITION, LOCATED AT
<br />1208 1. S. 35 SOUTH, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL).

<br />Mr. Dibrell moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Flores
<br />seeonded the motion, whieh passed unanimously.

<br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a ehange in
<br />zoning of Lots 1 and 2 and 18 through 22 of Block 1, and Bloeks 2 and 3
<br />of the T.J. Chambers Survey, from "P-2" to "R-1"; and Lots 3 through 17
<br />and 23 through 28 of Block 1 of the T.J. Chambers Survey, from "P-2"
<br />to "R-2". John Stokes, applicant, was present to request the ehange. (see
<br />attached "Oak Heights" plat) John David Pool, M.L. Mitehell and L. Young
<br />came before the Council to request that the zoning be denied as it did
<br />not follow the Comprehensive Plan. Mr. King requested Mr. Stokes amend his
<br />request by ehanging Lots 14 through 17 of Bloek 1 to "R~l" instead of "R-2".
<br />After further discussion, the Mayor elosed the Pub lie Hearing and read the
<br />caption of an Ordinance as follows:

<br />1 AND 2 AND 18 THROUGH 22 OF BLOCK 1, AND BLOCKS 2 AND 3 OF THE
<br />T.J. CHAMBERS SURVEY, FROM "P-2" (PUBLIC USE) to "R-l" (SINGLE
<br />FAMILY RESIDENTIAL); AND LOTS 3 THROUGH 17 AND 23 THROUGH 28 OF
<br />BLOCK 1 OF THE T.J. CHAMBERS SURVEY, FROM "P-2" (.PUBLIC USE) TO
<br />"R-2" (DUPLEX).

<br />Mr. King moved to am.~nd the Ordinanee to include
<br />1 in the change to "R-l" instead of "R-Z" and to
<br />first reading. Mr. Flores seconded the motion.

<br />The Mayor declared the motion failed and the Ordinance not approved.
<br />
<br />The Mayor introduced a request for a permit to temporarily locate a mobile
<br />home on Lots 7 and 8, Block 1 of the Westover Addition, located at the
<br />corner of Baylor and Boynton Streets. Mr.s Leona Nance, applicant, was
<br />present to request the permit. Mr. King moved the permit be approved. Mr.
<br />Dibrell seeonded the motion, which passed unanimously.

<br />The Mayor introduced a reqeust for a permit to temporarily locate a mobile
<br />home on Lot 5, Bloek 7 of the C.D. Wallace Addition, located at 208 Laredo
<br />Street. Tbe Reverend S~uel Montoya was present to request the permit.
<br />Mr. DeLa Rosa moved the permit be approved. Mr. King seeonded the motion
<br />which passed unanimously.

<br />LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF
<br />LOTS 110, 111, 115 AND l~ 'OF THE PARK ADDITION, FROM "D" (MuLTIFAMILY)
<br />TO "c" (COMMERCIAL).

<br />Mr. King moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. Dibrell
<br />seconded the motion, whieh passed unanimously.
