<br />Tbe Mayor declared the motion passed and the Ordinance approved on
<br />first ,reading.

<br />The.Mayor opened a Pub lie Hearing to consider a request for a change in
<br />zoning of part of Lot 2 and the south l,; of Lot 3, Block 13 in the
<br />Original Town of San Mareos, loeated at 138 S. L.B.J. Drive from "C"
<br />to "C-2". L.W. Mellinger waS present to represent the applicant,
<br />L.O. Baekus. There were no objections made to the requested change.
<br />The Mayor elosed the Public Hearing and read the caption of an ordinance
<br />as follows:

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES
<br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND
<br />LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART
<br />OF LOT 2 AND THE SOUTH ONE-FOURTH OF LOT 3, BLOCK 13 IN THE ORIGINAL
<br />TOWN OF SAN MARCOS, LOCATED AT 138 SOUTH L.B.J. DRIVE, FROM "C"
<br />(COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL).

<br />Mr. Cunningham moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading.
<br />Mr. DeLa Rosa seeonded the motion, which passed unanimously.

<br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a ehange in
<br />zoning of Lots 6, part of 7 and 8, Bloek 4 of the Original Town of San
<br />Marcos, located at 305 Hopkins and in the 200 Bloek of Edward Gary Street,
<br />from "c" to "C-2". L.W. Mellinger represented the applieant, L.O. Backus.
<br />C.E. Doyle, an adjaeent property owner, eame before the Council to request
<br />the change be denied since he felt the property was too close to the
<br />University and the downtown business area to be desirable. Vanee Winn
<br />objected on the same grounds. The Mayor elosed the Public Hearing and I
<br />read the caption of an ordinance,as follows:

<br />property involved. Mr. Dibrell seconded the motion. On r~ll eall, the

<br />The Mayor deelared the motion failed. Mr. DeLa Rosa moved the Ordinanee be
<br />approved on first reading. Mr. Cunningham seconded the motion. On roll call,

<br />zoning of Block 43 of the Vie tory Gardens Seeond Addition, loeated at
<br />1228 LH. 35 South, from "c" to "C-Z". Macky J. Sellers, applieant, was
<br />present to request the change. There were no objections voiced. The
<br />Mayor elosed the Public Hearing and read the eaption of an ordinance as
<br />follows'
