<br />I {5~ <br />I <br /> <br />regular meeting, september 10, 1973 <br /> <br />page two <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for <br />a change in zoning of part of Lot 18 and all of Lot 19, <br />Block 16 in the Rio Vista Terrace Addition Number 4, located <br />at 720 Bugg Lane, from "c" to "C-2". Douglas Brown, applicant, <br />was present to request the change. There were no objections <br />made to the change. The Mayor closed the Public Hearing and <br />read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH <br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, <br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY <br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT 19 AND PART OF LOT 18, <br />BLOCK 16, RIO VISTA TERRACE ADDITION NUMBER 4, LOCATED <br />AT 720 BUGG LANE, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. DeLa Rosa moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. <br />Dr. Tauch seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for <br />a change in zoning of part of Lot 10 in the A.F. Weatherford <br />Addition, located at I.H. 35 South and Kenwood Street, from <br />"I" to "C-2". Freddie Garza, applican t, was presen t to: reques t <br />the change. There were no objections made to the change. Mr. Cunningham seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE USE AND SUPPORT OF <br />THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS; PROVIDING A SINKING FUND FOR THE RETIREMENT OF <br />THE BONDED DEBT OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mr. DeLa Rosa moved the Ordinance be Passed, Approved and <br />Adopted on an emergency basis. The ~otion was seconded by <br />Mr. King. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Dibrell, Etheredge, Flores, <br />King, Tauch <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The City Manager presented a brief summary of the 1973-1974 <br />Budget for the City. Mr. King moved approval of the expenditures <br />as set out in the 1973-1974 budget for the City of San Marcos. <br />I1r. Cunningham seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced a request for a permit to temporarily <br />place a mobile home on Lot 22, Block 1 of the a.M. Stone <br />Addition, located at the rear of 206 S. Mitchell Street. <br />Mr. DeLa Rosa moved the permit be approved. Dr. Tauch seconded I <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH <br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, <br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY <br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF 2.88 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE T.J. <br />CHAMBERS SURVEY, LOCATED AT 1208 L.B.J. DRIVE, FROM "R-l" <br />(SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "D" (MULTIFAMILY). <br />
