<br />-=-=" <br />! .- <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />.~ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />RePort of the Charter Review Commission to the City Counoil <br /> <br />of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />The Charter Review Commission met for the first time on <br /> <br />July, 26, 1972 in the City Hall. Members'appointed by the <br />City Council on July 10, 1972 to serve on this commission <br />were; James Green, Augustin Lucio, Jr., Richard Santellano, <br />Jack N. Stovall, and Emmie Craddock. At the first meeting,. <br />h~e Craddock was elected Qhairman of the commission. The <br /> <br />commission met subsequently on :August 10, september 7, with <br />'.' <br /> <br />the City Council at its regular meeting on August 25, and on <br />'OCtober 26,1972. <br /> <br />Members of the cow~ission reviewed all provisions of the charter <br />and interviewed members of the City Council, the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission, the City Manager, the City Secretary, <br />the chairman of the Board of Equalization, Secretary of the <br />Planning and Zoning COIllllIission, the City Attorney, the <br />Corporation Judge and the City Health Officer. <br /> <br />As a result of these deliberations conc~rning the nature of <br /> <br /> <br />the Charter as well as the applicability and adequacy of its <br /> <br />p~o.~sions, the Charter Commission by unanimous agreement <br />s':>Gctfully submits the following recommendatioOls to ~ <br />~y Council.
