10 l ORDER FOR SPECIAL ELECTION STATE OF TEXAS ~ COUNTY OF HAYS ~ I WHEREAS, ARTICLE VI of the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, reserves to the people the right to "Initiative, Referendum and Recal I"; and, WHEREAS, the City Secretary has determined that the signatures of 320 qual ified voters would be required on any such petition presented between April 4, 1972, and April 3, 1973; and, WHEREAS, the City Secretary has certified to the Council that there are sufficient signatures attached to a petition call ing for removal from office of the fol lowing members of the City Council of the City of San Marcos: Luciano H. Flores, Mayor Guillermo DeLa Rosa Ross King David R. Tauch Herbert A. Yarbrough, Jr. I NOW, THEREFORE, I, Luciano H. Flores, by the power invested in me as Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, do hereby order that a special election be held in said city on the 6th day of March, 1973, at which election the following proposition shal I be submitted in accordance with law: FOR: The removal from office of the following Councilmen of the City of San.Marcos: Luciano H. Flores, Mayor Gui I lermo DeLa Rosa Ross King David R. Tauch Herbert A. Yarbrough, Jr. AGAINST: The removal from office of the following Councilmen of the City of San Marcos: Luciano H. Yarbrough, Jr. I SAID ELECTION shall be held at the following places in said City, and the fol lowing named persons are hereby appointed officers for said election. In Election Precinct No.6, at Guadalupe Hall, in said City, with Mrs. J.T. Avila as Presiding Judge, and said Presiding Judge shal I appoint the necessary clerks to assist her which shall not exceed four (4) clerks. In Election Precinct No.8, at American Legion Hall, in said City with Mrs. ChrisBrash~r' as Presiding Judge, and said Presiding Judge shall appoint the necessary clerks to assist him which shal I not exceed four (4) clerks.
