<br />regular meeting, october 23, 1973 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />Mr. Etheredge introduced for consideration the renewal of a <br />franchise with Browning-Ferris Industries of Austin, Inc., <br />formerly Capitol Disposal, for commercial refuse hauling. <br />Mr. Dibrell moved not to renew the franchise agreement. <br />Dr. Tauch seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Flores requested a workshop with the Chamber of Commerce be <br />held in the near future regarding rental of space in City Park <br />for trailers and rallys. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The workshop session scheduled for October 24, 1973, was <br />canceled by common consent of the Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Flores requested the proposed ordinance for regulation of <br />public dances and dance halls be placed on the November 19 <br />workshop agenda. <br /> <br />Mayor Etheredge issued a proclamation designating October 29 <br />through November 4 as "Scheib Opportunity Center Week". <br /> <br />The City Manager introduced for discussion a proposal to increase <br />the utility turn-on deposit for residential users from $10.00 <br />to $20.00.
