Dr. Tauch <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Etheredge presented for discussion an ordinance requested by <br />United Gas, Inc., which would amend the Ordinance of March 26, 1973 <br />which determined and fixed the maximum schedules of rates to be charged <br />by United Gas, Inc., for natural gas and natural gas service. S.L. Cathcart, I. <br />representing United Gas, Inc., came before the Council to request the <br />Ordinance be approved. Councilmen agreed, by common consent, to consider <br />the matter at the workshop session scheduled for January 7, 1973, before <br />taking action. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 30, ARTICLE I, SECTION 30-7 OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES, ESTABLISHES A NEW DEPOSIT FEE FOR ALL <br />NEW RESIDENTIAL WATER CONNECTIONS AND A DEPOSIT FEE FOR ALL NEW <br />COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS. <br /> <br />Councilman DeLa Rosa moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. <br />Council~an King seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE II, ENTITLED "DANCE AND DANCE HALLS", <br />CHAPTER 22, ENTITLED "PUBLIC AMUSEMENTS" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, THE SAME BEING SECTIONS 22-16 TO <br />22-31 INCLUSIVE OF SAID CODE; AND ADDING A NEW ARTICLE II, ENTITLED <br />"DANCES AND DANCE HALLS", CHAPTER 22 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF DANCE <br />PERMITS, ESTABLISHING CRITERIA FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SAID PERMITS, <br />AND SETTING FEES FOR SUCH ISSUANCE OF SAID PERMITS. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Councilman DeLa Rosa moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. <br />Councilman Tauch seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES <br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND <br />LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART <br />OF LOT 5, BLOCK 5 OF THE DAN McKIE SECOND ADDITION, LOCATED ON <br />THE CORNER OF CHEATHAM AND GUADALUPE STREETS, FROM "C" (COMMERCIAL) <br />TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Mr, King moved the Ordinance be approved on third and final reading. <br />Mr. DeLa Rosa seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Dibrell, Etheredge, Flores, King, Tauch <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />Mayor Etheredge read the caption of a resolution as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A LICENSE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A FOUR-INCH SANITARY SEWER PIPE LINE <br />BENEATH MILE POST 51.72 OF M.K.T. RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY, <br />HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. King moved the Resolution be Passed and Approved. Mr. Dibrell seconded <br />the motion.
