64 regular meeting, january 28, 1974 page two Mr. King introduced an Ordinance on first reading and read its caption as follows: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS BY CREATING APPENDIX E, PROVIDING MINIMUM STANDARDS FOR MOBILE HOME PARKS; ESTABLISHING REQUIREMENTS FOR DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION, EXTENSION AND MAINTENANCE OF MOBILE HOME PARKS AND RELATED UTILITIES AND FACILITIES; AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS FOR CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION AND EXTENSION OF MOBILE HOME PARKS; AUTHORIZING THE INSPECTION OF MOBILE HOME PARKS; FIXING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. I Mr. Dibrell moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. Dr. Tauch seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. King introduced an Ordinance on second reading and read its caption as follows: AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING AND FIXING THE MAXIMUM SCHEDULES OF RATES TO BE CHARGED BY UNITED GAS, INC., IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FOR NATURAL GAS AND NATURAL GAS SERVICE FURNISHED BY IT TO RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL CONSUMERS, CONTAINING DEFINITIONS, FIXING THE EFFECTIVE DATES OF GAS RATES PRESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, MAKING MIXCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT. Dr. Tauch moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. Dibrell seconded the motion. Mr. Cunningham asked what rates would be in effect when the United Gas/Lo Vaca contract was reinstated. Mr. Robert Uhr, Division District Manager of United Gas, Inc.~ replied that those rates called for in the Ordinance, listed as "Monthly Rate" of Exhibits A and B would be reinstated. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Dibrell, King, Flores, Tauch NAY: Cunningham I Mr. King read the caption of ~Resolution as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING DEEDS TO THE TEXAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR THE WIDENING OF LOOP 82 WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SAME. Mr. Flores moved the Resolution be approved. Mr. Cunningham seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. King read the caption of a~Resolution as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND THE TEXAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT FOR THE PERMITTING AND MAINTENANCE OF A TEN INCH (10") WATER LINE CROSSING THE SAN MARCOS RIVER AT THE LOOP 82 BRIDGE OF SAID RIVER; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE THE SAME. I Dr. Tauch moved the Resolution be approved. Mr. Cunningham seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. King announced that Mrs. Rachel Gaitan had resigned from the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mr. Cunningham nominated Lyndon Mellinger to fill the vacancy.
