<br />regular me~ting, march 25, 1974 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />103 <br /> <br />Mr. DeLa Rosa moved approval of award of bid for a 1250 G.P.M. <br />fire truck to Mack Truck, Inc, in the amount of $43,700, base bid, <br />and $11,797 additional options. Mr. King seconded the motion. <br />(se~ bid sheet attached) On roll call, the motion was unanimously <br />approved. <br /> <br />The City Secretary presented a report on the certification of a <br />petition requesting an election be held to consider adoption of <br />the Firemen's and Policemen's Civil Service Act (see report attached) <br />and certified the petition to be sufficient. The report was received <br />on motion of Councilman King and second of Councilman DeLa Rosa, <br />said motion passing unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Ken Rehler, architect for the new City Hall, presented a report on <br />the final floor plan and proposed exterior building materials. <br />Mr. Flores moved approval of the final plan. Mr. King seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously, <br /> <br />Dr. Tauch moved approval of the appointment of Dr. Stanley Sissom <br />(contingent upon his chairmanship of the Planning:and Zoning Commission) <br />and Drs. Roland Newsome and James Harrison to the Census Tract <br />Committee. The motion was seconded by Mr. Flores, and passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Dibrell moved the swimming pool enclosure ordinance be brought <br />off the table. Dr. Tauch seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Dibrell moved the Ordinance be denied on second reading. Mr. King <br />seconded the motion. John Finch and others were present to requ~st <br />the swimming pool enclosure ordinance not be approved. It <br />was explained that the cypress trees would not be disturbed, but that <br />approximately 35 trees on the Sewell Park side would have to be <br />removed. <br /> <br />Mr. DeLa Rosa introduced a letter from Rogers Wilson, owner of <br />property in the Rio Vista Park area, offering to sell property to the <br />City for possible ,use as parkland. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourried at 9:45 p.m. <br /> <br />ATYfST: .
