Mr. Flores moved approval of the <br />appointment of Mrs. Vi11a1panda as Presiding Judge for that precinct. <br />Mr. DeLa Rasa seconded the motion. On roll call, the fol1awing vate was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rasa, King, Craddock, Flores, Tauch <br />NAY: Dibrell. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Dibrell moved approval af the appointment of Howard Yeargan as Presiding <br />Judge for Precinct Number Fifteen. Dr.' Tauch seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Herbert Nix and William Liddle were nominated as election judges far <br />Precinct Number Sixteen. Mr. DeLa Rosa moved approval of William Liddle <br />as Presiding Judge for that precinct. Mr. Cunningham seconded the mation. <br />On roll call, the fo11awing vate was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rasa, King, Craddock, Flores, Tauch <br />NAY: Dibrell. <br /> <br />Mr. Cunningham moved approval of the Order Calling for the Special City <br />Election (see attached). Mr. DeLa Rasa seconded the matian, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. King read the caption af an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 27 <br />OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE BY REPEALING ALL PREVIOUS TAXICAB RATES <br />OF FARE AND ENACTING A NEW SUBSECTION TO SECTION 27-5 BY ESTABLISHING <br />A SECTION 27-5(c) PROVIDING FOR THE AUTHORIZED RATE OF FARE OF TAXICAB <br />PASSENGERS. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. DeLa Rosa moved approval of the Ordinance on secand reading. Mr. Dibrell <br />seconded the motian, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. King read the caption of an ordinance as fo11aws: <br /> <br />AN ORIiINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS TEXAS <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 10, ARTICLE III OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID <br />CITY, "FIRE PREVENTION CODE", BY AMENDING SECTION 13.1 TO INCLUDE <br />A SUBSECTION C EXTENDING THE APPLICABILITY OF SAID SECTION FOR A <br />DISTANCE OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS FOR A TOTAL OF FIVE THOUSAND FEET. <br /> <br />Mr. Dibrell moved approval af the Ordinance on third and final reading. <br />Dr. Tauch secanded the motion. On roll call, the fo11awing vote was recarded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, Dibrell, King, Craddock, Flores, Tauch <br />NAY: DeLa Rasa. <br /> <br />Mayar King introduced a Resolutian and read its caption as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPOINTING ED JOHNSON OF THE SAN MARCOS POLICE DEPARTMENT AS <br />DEPUTY MUNICIPAL COURT CLERK. <br /> <br />Mr. Cunningham moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Dibrell secanded the <br />mation, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Dibrell moved award of a bid far a 10,000 ga1lan ground starage tank <br />in the amount of $3,450 fram Imperial Tank Company (see bid sheet attached), <br />and apprapriation of $3,450 from the General Contingency Fund for that item. <br />Dr. Craddock seconded the motian, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Dibrell maved approval of the appaintment af Dr. James Crawford and <br />Mr. Gene Funk ta the Parks and Recreation Board. Mr. DeLa Rosa seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br />
