Jenkins; Reuben Meeks; Ron Mullin; Tom Goynes; Clovis Barker; <br />Mike Wells; and others. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. King introduced a Resolution noting the death of former Mayor Frank <br />W. Zimmerman, and noting his achievements. Mr, Dibrell moved approval of the <br />Resolution. Dr. Craddock seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held April 8, 1974, were approved on <br />motion of Dr. Craddock and second of Dr. Tauch. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Special Meeting held April 15, 1974, were approved on <br />motion of Dr. Craddock and second of Dr. Tauch. <br /> <br />Mr. 'King opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in zoning <br />of part of Lot 9 of the A.B. Rogers Subdivision and part of .62 acres of the <br />J.M. Veramendi League Number Two, from "c" to "C-2". Mr. Gene Majors was <br />present to represent the applicant, S.R. Gregg. It was noted that the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission had recommended approval of the change, and that one <br />letter of objection from a property owner within 200 feet had been received. <br />No objections were voiced from those present. The Mayor closed the hearing <br />and read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES <br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, <br />DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF LOT <br />9 OF THE A.B. ROGERS SUBDIVISION, AND PART OF .62 ACRES OUT OF THE <br />J.M. VERAMENOI LEAGUE NUMBER TWO, LOCATED BETWEEN THE I.H. 35 ACCESS <br />ROAD AND LINDA DRIVE AND BETWEEN NORED REAL ESTATE AND THE EXXON <br />SERVICE STATION, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Dr. Tauch moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. DeLa Rosa <br />seconded the motion which passed with five votes in favor and Dr. Craddock <br />abstaining. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in <br />zoning of three acres of land out of the T.H.W. Forsyth Survey, from "R-1" <br />to "C". Richard Pustejovsky was present to represent the applicant, Mrs. C. <br />C. Howard. It was noted that the Planning and Zoning Commission had recommended <br />approval of the change. There were no objections received. The Mayor closed <br />the hearing and read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br />
