<br />I" <br />i <br /> <br />regular meeting, october 11, 1971 <br /> <br />page four <br /> <br />Mr. Gresham said this would be the last opportunity to apply <br />for a grant, since this type of assistance was to be discontinued. <br />Several possible sites for the building were being considered. <br />Matters which had been discussed at a workshop on August 31 were <br />amplified. The City ~anager said the Fiscal Agent was drafting <br />a Resolution authorizing application for the grant, for Council <br />consideration. <br /> <br />Mr. Etheredge brought up for discussion a serious traffic I <br />hazard created by the building of Baltimore's Drive-in <br />on Bugg Lane near the railroad tracks. Mr. Gresham said <br />it had already, been brought to the attention of the state <br />Highway Department and the Engineer had said they have a hard <br />and fast principle against cutting a median. The City Manager <br />said he would contact the Highway Department again to see what <br />corrective measures might be taken. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Flores took note of the new planters which had <br />been placed in the foyer of City Hall.
