<br />regular meeting, january 10, 1972 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough introduced and read aloud an ordinance <br />with the following caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br />WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br />OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, <br />1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING ON LOTS 18 & <br />19, FOREST HILLS ADDITION, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE- <br />FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "D" (MULTI-FAMILY) <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />There was no motion to approve the ordinance on first reading. <br /> <br />Mr. King moved that the Council accept the recommendation of <br />the Planning & Zoning Commission, and deny the request for <br />change of zoning. Mr. Flores seconded the motion. Further <br />discussion ensued. On roll call, the following vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AY E: Etheredge, Flores, King, Yarbrough <br />NAY: DeLa Rosa, Tauch <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance creating a Parks and <br />Recreation Board. Mr. Etheredge moved approval of the <br />ordinance on second reading. Mr. Flores seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The City Manager reported that the Fiscal Agent had recommended <br />that the sale of park bonds be rescheduled.
