<br />The Mayor called the meeting to ord~r at 7:30 p.m.
<br />
<br />The Rev. Miguel Barrios, Pastor of the Mexican Baptist Church,
<br />gave the Invocation, in Spanish.
<br />
<br />The Minutes of the January 24 meeting were introduced for
<br />consideration. Councilman King called attention to an error on
<br />page three, stating that he had cast an affirmative vote on the
<br />second reading of an ordinance changing zoning on a tract of land
<br />in the Westover Addition. Mr. King moved approval of the Minutes,
<br />as corrected. Mr. Etheredge seconded the motion, which passed
<br />unanimously.

<br />The Mayor announced that bids on sale of the $200,000 Park Bonds
<br />had been received, and asked Fiscal Ag~nt Gene Rourke to open
<br />and tabulate the bids. A coPy of the tabulation is attached and
<br />made a part of the Minutes. Mr. Rourke announced that Columbian
<br />Securities, Inc. had entered the low bid, with an offer of 4.28377 %
<br />interest. Mr. King moved that the $200,000 Park Bo~ds be sold to
<br />Columbian Securities, Inc. at the low bid interest of 4.28377 %.
<br />Dr. Tauch seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

<br />The Council considered an evaluation of bids received on four
<br />police vehicles. The Mayor read the bids aloud. A copy is
<br />attached. Mr. Etheredge moved that the City purchase the four
<br />units from Jay Smith Chrysler-Plymouth of Austin on a low bid of
<br />$14,464.00. Mrs. Emery seconded the motion, which passed unani-
<br />mously.
<br />
<br />The Council considered a petition for annexation for three
<br />parcels of land comprising 1.861 acres, fronting on North lBJ Drive.
