Varner, Jerri Martin. <br /> <br />The Mayor cal led the meeti~g to order at the Library at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilman Yarbrough. <br /> <br />The Minutes of May 8 were approved as presented on motion of <br />Mr. Yarbro~gh and second of Dr. Tauch. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a publ ic hearing on an appl ication for the funding <br />of the third year of Neighborhood Development Program Tex. A-6. <br />M~. Flore~ asked Jim' Brown, Executive Director of the Urban Renewal <br />Agency, to present a report on the NDP second year, and*he projected <br />development for the Third Action Ye~r. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown reviewed the boundaries of Tex. A-6,' and used "before and <br />after" sl ides of rehabi I itated housing. He said 92.7% of the proper- <br />ties scheduled for acquisition had been bought. A I ist of the <br />properties to be acquired was given to the City Secretary to be <br />made a part of the Minutes. Binder 20 of Tex. A-6, NDP Third Action <br />Year, a copy of the application to the Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development, was fi led with the City Secretary as publ ic <br />record. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />After the presehtation, Mr. Brown answered qu~stions from Councilmen <br />and oth'ers attending the public hearing. Following full discussion, <br />the Mayor declared the pub! ic hearing closed. <br />
