APPROVING THE URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AND <br />THE FEASIBILITY OF RELOCATION FOR NEIGHBORHOOD <br />DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM NO. TEX. A-6, THIRD ACTION YEAR; <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br /> <br />Councilman Yarbrough moved adoption of the Ordinance as an <br />~m~rgency~ Dr. Tauch seconded the motion and on 1'01 I cal I, <br />the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: 'Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Etheredge, Flores, <br />Tauch, Yarbrough <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />,NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a public hearing on a request for a change <br />of zoning on 1.8 acres on North L.B.J. Drive from "R-l" to <br />"0", and cal led for discussion. <br />" \. <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough commented that the exit from the apartments on <br />the property w~sdangerous for drivers turning onto l.B.J. <br />Drive. . The City ManaQer was instructed to contact the property <br />owners to correct the situation. <br /> <br />/ill's. Ruth Thomas asked how many addl'tional apartments were <br />planned for the site. The City Manager said he did not have <br />that information, but right-of-way has been acquired by the <br />City.to widen North L.B.J. Drive. CHAMBERS LEAGUE, lOCATED ON OR ABOUT 1225 NORTH <br />L.B.J. DRIVE, FROM "R-1" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO <br />"0" (~ULTIFAM.lLY) <br /> <br />Dr. Tauch moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading; <br />Mr. Yarbrough seconded the motion. Mr. Etheredge stated that <br />it did not seem fair to grant th~ request in view of the'fact <br />that other'property owners who had been in the City for some <br />time had been d~nied simi lar requests. Suckle, <br />912 Bluebonnet Drive, said a petition signed by ,owners of <br />adjoining property had protested any change of zoning from <br />
