Dr. Tauch seconded the motion, and on roll call the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, {therl'dge, FIQres, Kin9." <br />Tauch, )arbrough <br /> <br />NA Y : None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and ~dopted. <br /> <br />Maybr'Flores lntroduced Mr. Ramiro Lugotq ~pe,ki~.beh~lf of <br />fami Iles in need bf immediate relocation due to extreme flood <br />damage of housing. Mr. Lugo presented statistics determined by <br />his study of the situation showing the need for emergency housing. <br />Mr. Gresham reported the City's progress in dealing with the <br />problem. Mr. Yarbrough suggested Mr. Lugo, as spokesman of the <br />group, meet with the City Manager to assist in the relocation of <br />flobd victims. Mr. David Ybarra, Executive Director of the San <br />Marcos Housing Authority, and Miss Sandra Gonzales, Administrative <br />intern, answered questions from the Council and visitors attending <br />the meeting. Mayor Flores summarized the disc~ssi~n in Spanish <br />for the benefit of persons present who were affec~edby the flood. <br /> <br />The Mayor stated that there were positions on various City <br />boards which needed fi I I ing. Mr. Cunningham proposed the name <br />of .iss Carol CI ick for the Library ~oard, and Murray Rossenwasser <br />as an alternate for the Board of Equal ization, Mr. Ramiro Lugo's <br />hame was also proposed as an altern,te for the Bo~rd of Equal ization. <br />The resignation of Juan Ram6n' Palomo from the Environmental <br />Advisory Board was accepted. Mr. Yarbrough proposed Mr. Aart <br />Millecam fill that vacancy. <br /> <br />The City Manager requested the Counc i I cons i del' a request from <br />Mr. Jon Mostyn of Mostyn Enterprises, Inc., to place a billboard <br />on City property near low man Airport. Mr. King moved the Council <br />allow Mr. Mostyn to rent the billboard space and authorize the <br />execution of the lease agreement. Mr. Etheredge seconded the motion. <br />On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Flores, King, Tauch, Yarbrough <br /> <br />NAY: Etheredge <br /> <br />By common consent, the Council approved the fol lowing slate of <br />officers for the Bicentennial Committee: Mr. Wallace Dockall, <br />Mr. Bob Kerchev i II e, Mr. Rami 1'0 Lugo, Mr ,Robert J . ,Poll ard, <br />Mrs. Jack N. Stovall, Mrs. Jam~sTaylor and Mr;. W~lliam'A. Wyatt. <br /> <br />The Council received with regret the resignation of Municipal <br />Court Judge Ch~is L.
