regular meeting, june 26, 1972 page three Mr. Yarbrough requested the Council to consider tiking action on the airport facil ities. Dr. Tauch reported that he had earl ier in the day met with the Chamber of Commerce committee to study the situation, and that they were waiting on more information to better determine the needs of the City. Mr. King reported that the Land Committee had met with the Museum Board to establ ish guidel ines for the proposed museum, and that a recommendation would be made to the Council at a later date. I Dr. Tauch requested that the City staff prepare information with regard to recommendations on new minimum lot size requirements for "R~l" and "R-2" zoning classifications, and a revision of minimum parking requirements for apartments. The Mayor introduced a Resolution authorizrng the City Manager to make appl ication to the Secretary of the Interior for the transfer of surplus Federal property to the City for park and recreational purposes. (see attached Resolution) The City Manager explained that the property, located in Caldwell County near the San Marcos Municipal airport, could be acquired for the above stated purposes at no cost to the City. Mr. King moved the Resolution be approved. Mr. Ethel'edge seconded the motion. Mr. Yarbrough requested the Park Board be contacted concerning this matter.
