<br />regular meeting, june 26, 1972 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough requested the Council to consider tiking action on <br />the airport facil ities. Dr. Tauch reported that he had earl ier <br />in the day met with the Chamber of Commerce committee to study <br />the situation, and that they were waiting on more information to <br />better determine the needs of the City. <br /> <br />Mr. King reported that the Land Committee had met with the Museum <br />Board to establ ish guidel ines for the proposed museum, and that a <br />recommendation would be made to the Council at a later date. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dr. Tauch requested that the City staff prepare information with <br />regard to recommendations on new minimum lot size requirements for <br />"R~l" and "R-2" zoning classifications, and a revision of minimum <br />parking requirements for apartments. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced a Resolution authorizrng the City Manager to <br />make appl ication to the Secretary of the Interior for the transfer <br />of surplus Federal property to the City for park and recreational <br />purposes. (see attached Resolution) The City Manager explained <br />that the property, located in Caldwell County near the San Marcos <br />Municipal airport, could be acquired for the above stated purposes <br />at no cost to the City. Mr. King moved the Resolution be approved. <br />Mr. Ethel'edge seconded the motion. Mr. Yarbrough requested the <br />Park Board be contacted concerning this matter.
