The caption is as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE USE AND SUPPORT <br />OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF'THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS; PROVIDING A SINKING FUND FOR THE RETIREMENT <br />OF THE BONDED DEBT OF SAID CITY; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY, <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough moved the ordinance be adopted on an emergency <br />basis. ,'Mr. King seconded the motion. On roll call, the fol lowing I <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Etheredge, Flores, King <br />Tauch, Yarbrough <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />The'Mayor opened a Publ ic Hearing to consider a request from <br />Mrs, Shirley Wickersham for a zoning change on an 1.S-acre tract <br />out of the T,J, Chambe~s League, located on or about 1225 North <br />L,B,J, Drive, from "R-I" to "D". Mrs. Wickersham was present ' <br />and urged the Council to ~pprove the ~equest. No opp~sition was <br />voiced. The Mayor declare~the'Publ ic Hearing closed. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an.ordinance ~ith the fol lowing caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH <br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, <br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY <br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF A 1.8 ACRE TRACT OF LAND OUT OF THE <br />T.J, CHAMBERS LEAGUE, LOCATED ON OR ABOUT 1225 NORTH <br />L,B.J, DRiVE, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO <br />"0" (MULTIFAMilY). <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dr. Tauch moved the ordinance be approved on first reading. <br />Mr. Yarbrough seconded the motion. Mr, DeLa Rosa mentioned the <br />increase in traffic onL,B,J. D~ive that additional apartment <br />complexes would bring. Mr, King pointed out that Mrs. Wickersham <br />aod other o~ners of the property were wil ling to dedicate <br />additional right-of-way for widening L.B.J, Drive. Mr. Yarbrough <br />noted the Planning and Zoning Commission's recommendation for <br />approval. On roll call, the following vote w~s recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, Etheredge, Flores, King, Tauch, Yarbrough <br />NAY: DeLa Rosa <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion passed and the ordinance approved on <br />first read i ng. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Publ ic Hearing to cons'ider a request from <br />Southwestern Medical Centers, Inc. for ~ zoning change o~ a 13.15 <br />acre tract out of the J.M, Veramendj League No,"2, known as the <br />Southwestern Medical Centers tract, from ~R-l" to "M". Mr, Charles <br />Ramsay, attorney representing tho$e requesting,the change, I <br />reported that no opposition had been voiced at the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission meeting, and that his request had been approved <br />at that time, There. being no opposing voice, the publ.ic Hearing <br />was closed.' , <br />
