~egular meeting, september 11, 1972 page three /'71 I I The Mayor introduced an ordinance with the following caption: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 Of THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE UF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF A 13.15 ACRE TRACT OUT OF THE d~'M, VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO, TWO, FROM "R-l"(SI NGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "M" (MIXED). II Mr~ Etheredge moved the ordinance be approved on first pead~ng. Mr. Yarbrough seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayo~ declared the ordinance approved on first reading. The Mayor introduced anord i nance with the, fo II ow i ng c'apt i on: AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, DIScoNTINUING AND CLOS I NG CERrA IN PORTl ONS OF ACADEMY, JAMES, NORTH AND ALAMO STREETS IN SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; RELINQUISHING TO THE, SAN MARCOS BAPTIST ACADEMY ALL RIGHT, TITLE AND I NTEREST OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS IN AND TO SAID STREET PORTIONS WITH CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS; DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER TO SAID SAN MARCOS BAPHST ACADEMY A QUITCLAIM DEED TO SUCH STREET PORTIONS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Mr; King moved the ordinance be adopted on an emergency basis. Mr. Etheredge seconded the motion. Mr, King explained that the ordinance was necessary to acquire right-of-way for the Sessom Drive project. The Mayor introduced an ordinance with the fol lowing caption: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE TO THE SAN MARCOS BAPTIST ACADEMY BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS OF 9718 SQUARE FEET OUT or LOT 4 IN BLOCK 6 OF THE G.A. MC NAUGHTON ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED SO CONVEYING SAID LAND TO THE sAN MARCOS BAPTIST ACADEMY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, Mr. Etheredge moved the ordinance be adopted on an emergency basis.
