Frankl in Davidson. The Minutes of the regular meeting of September 11, 1972, were approved as presented on motion of Councilman King and second of Councilman Cunningham. The Mayor asked if a representative ofSociedad Cuauhtemoc were present. Since no one came fo~ward Councilman Yarbrough explained that Mr. Encarnacion Ruiz, President of Sociedad Cuauhtemoc, had met with Leo Poore, Manager of the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, in an effort to coordinate the calend~r of public events so that future confl icts could be avoided. Mr. Yarbrough felt an understanding had been reached, making it unnecessary for discussion with the Counci I. The Mayor introduced an 6rdin~nce with the following caption: AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF PLEASANT STREET 1 N THE ClTY OF SAN MARCOS; TEXAS, AND AN AllEY NEXT TO THE H.A. NELSON FIRST ADDITl.ON TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; RELINQUISHING TO FRANCIS ~1. MAULDIN AND WIFE, MARTHA JANE MAULDIN, ALL RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST IN AND TO SUCH ABOVE MENTIONED PORTIONS; DIRECTING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER TO SAID PERSONS A QU lTCLA I M DEED TO ABOVE SA I D -l'ORTl.ONS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, Mr. King, a member of the Land Committee, moved adoption of the ordinance on an emergency basis so that the Sessom Drive project could proceed. Councilman Etheredge seconded the motion. On 1"01 I call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Etheredge, Flores, King, Tauch and Yarbrough NAY: None The Mayor declared the ordinance Passed, Approved and Agopted.
