Frankl in Davidson. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the regular meeting of September 11, 1972, were <br />approved as presented on motion of Councilman King and second <br />of Councilman Cunningham. <br /> <br />The Mayor asked if a representative ofSociedad Cuauhtemoc were <br />present. Since no one came fo~ward Councilman Yarbrough explained <br />that Mr. Encarnacion Ruiz, President of Sociedad Cuauhtemoc, had <br />met with Leo Poore, Manager of the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, <br />in an effort to coordinate the calend~r of public events so that <br />future confl icts could be avoided. Mr. Yarbrough felt an understanding <br />had been reached, making it unnecessary for discussion with the <br />Counci I. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an 6rdin~nce with the following caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF <br />PLEASANT STREET 1 N THE ClTY OF SAN MARCOS; TEXAS, <br />AND AN AllEY NEXT TO THE H.A. NELSON FIRST ADDITl.ON <br />TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; RELINQUISHING <br />TO FRANCIS ~1. MAULDIN AND WIFE, MARTHA JANE MAULDIN, <br />ALL RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST IN AND TO SUCH ABOVE <br />MENTIONED PORTIONS; DIRECTING THE MAYOR OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER TO SAID <br />PERSONS A QU lTCLA I M DEED TO ABOVE SA I D -l'ORTl.ONS; <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, <br /> <br />Mr. King, a member of the Land Committee, moved adoption of the <br />ordinance on an emergency basis so that the Sessom Drive project <br />could proceed. Councilman Etheredge seconded the motion. On 1"01 I <br />call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Etheredge, Flores, King, <br />Tauch and Yarbrough <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the ordinance Passed, Approved and Agopted. <br />
