<br />f <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY <br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land <br />not exceeding one-half (1/2) mile in width, being contiguous <br />and adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote <br />for Members of the State Legislature, has petitioned the <br />City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within the <br />municipal limits, a cipy of said petition being hereto <br />attached, marked "EXHIBIT A" and made a part hereof for all <br />pertinent purposes; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of <br />San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal <br />limits: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City <br />of San Marcos, Texas, that said strip of land, hereinafter <br />described by lot and addition, be and the same is hereby <br />received as part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate <br />limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as <br />to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the <br />territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City _______-" <br />of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances < <br />of said City in accordance with the law. <br /> <br />This parcel will be zoned "R-l" (single family residential). <br /> <br />PASSED on first reading October 22, 1970 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PASSED on second reading November 9, 1970 <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED <br /> <br />Novembe:t:' 3, 1970j <br /> <br />~~- <br /> <br />Hollis W.
