<br />regular meeting, december 14, 1970 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />r <br />~) <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough moved that the Council accept Mr. Ennis' <br />suggestion for guidelines for handling the City's <br />insurance, as outlined in the letter. Dr. Craddock second- <br />ed the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The City Manager introduced for discussion an exchange of <br />property between the ~ity and the Nelson Estate. The Mayor <br />introduced an ordinance pertaining to the exchange, caption <br />of which is as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING PORTIONS OF <br />VERAMENDI AND PARK STREETS, AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT <br />OF H.A. NELSON'S FIRST ADDITION TO THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, OF RECORD IN <br />VOLUME 89, PAGE 224, HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS: <br />RELINQUISHING TO EXA PHILLIPS NELSON, MARIAN <br />NELSON MEEKS, HUGH A. NELSON, JR., AND REUBEN H. <br />MEEKS, TRUSTEE, ALL RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST OF <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, IN AND TO SAID <br />STREET PORTIONS: AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER TO SAID <br />PERSONS A QUIT-CLAIM DEED TO SAID STREET PORTIONS <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough moved adoption of the Ordinance on first reading. <br />Dr. Craddock seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Flores moved that the short passageway involved in the <br />exchange be officially named "Pleasant Lane". Dr. Craddock <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Bean introduced a Resolution for Council study, with action <br />to be considered at the Dec. 28 meeting.
