Koch, <br />Leo Poore, David Basye, Lanny Cravy, <br />Mr. & Mrs. Charles Martin, Gilbert Rainosek <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilman King gave the Invocation. <br /> <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of December 28, 1970 were approv- <br />as presented, on motion of Mr. Zavesky and second of Mr. Yarbrough. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Zavesky moved approval of the'Minutes of ~hespecial meeting <br />of Janu~ry 4, 1971, Mr. Yarbrough seconded the motion and on <br />roll calL the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Flores, Smith, Yarbrough, Zavesky <br />None <br />King <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Minutes approved. <br /> <br />Mayor Smith opened a public hearing ~n the proposed annexation <br />of 47 acres of land located south of Redwood Road and west of <br />IH 35. No one came forward to speak on the proposal and the <br />Mayo~ decla~ed the hearing clnsed. <br /> <br />The Mayo]" introduced an ordinance and read the caption as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTHN <br />BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING <br />OF APPROXIMATELY 47 ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID TERRI- <br />TORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUND- <br />ARY L1MITSOPTHE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Zaveskymoved approval of th~ ordinance, oh first reading. <br />Mr. Kin!:) seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The M~yor introduced an ordinance for fin-al reading.
