11 REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JANUARY 11, 1971 Present: Mayor Hollis W. Smith I Councilmen: Luciano H. Flores Ross King Herbert A. Yarbrough, jr. Thomas, HarrisM. Koch, Leo Poore, David Basye, Lanny Cravy, Mr. & Mrs. Charles Martin, Gilbert Rainosek The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Councilman King gave the Invocation. Minutes of the regular meeting of December 28, 1970 were approv- as presented, on motion of Mr. Zavesky and second of Mr. Yarbrough. I Mr. Zavesky moved approval of the'Minutes of ~hespecial meeting of Janu~ry 4, 1971, Mr. Yarbrough seconded the motion and on roll calL the following vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: ABSTAIN: Flores, Smith, Yarbrough, Zavesky None King The Mayor declared the Minutes approved. Mayor Smith opened a public hearing ~n the proposed annexation of 47 acres of land located south of Redwood Road and west of IH 35. No one came forward to speak on the proposal and the Mayo~ decla~ed the hearing clnsed. The Mayo]" introduced an ordinance and read the caption as follows: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTHN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 47 ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID TERRI- TORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUND- ARY L1MITSOPTHE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS I Mr. Zaveskymoved approval of th~ ordinance, oh first reading.
