North of Walnut Street from "P-2" to "D"(multi- <br />family). up to a line within 150' of the north <br />line of the Schmidt property, <br />2. The remaining 150' to be zoned as "R-2" (duplexes) <br />3. The balance of the property ~to_~R-1" (~ingle family <br />residential) <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough seconded the motion. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mrs. Nell F, Linebarger came before the Council as a <br />representative of the Schmidt Family. Oscar <br />Guzman for use at 150 Sherwood Street (Lot 22, Blk. 1 of <br />the Feltner Addition), Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Th~Planning & Zoning Commission had recommended to the <br />Council that a deadline be set fo.r property-elmers. to <br />connect to the sanitary sewer when service is. available, I <br />The Mayor said an Environmental Committee would soon be <br />ap~ointed by the Council, Mr. Smith moved that .this <br />matter be tabled until it could pe referred to that <br />committee. Chairman ofa TV Cable Franchise Study Committee <br />appointed'la'st Summer, gave. a report to .the Council. He said <br />he and Counci'lman Flores, and Dr. Oraddock until her resignat- <br />ion, Dec, 31, had spent many hours in study ofa franchise, <br />and in conference with the two applicants. A survey had also <br />be made among cities under franchise to. the two firms, <br />Mr. King moved that the City of San Marcos be prepared to <br />grant a TV Cable franchise. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously, <br />Mr. King m6ved that the City of , San Marcos grant a TV Cable <br />franchise to San Marcos Cable Communications, Inc. <br />There was no second to the motion, <br />The Mayormoicldthat the Council consider both applicants, <br />San Marcos Cable Communications, Inc. and San Marcos TV Cable <br />Co" . I nc., and that each, Coug~lman indicate. his preference on <br />a slip of paper.
