<br />c <br /> <br />.., ~ <br />I ~ of S;;;Atarros <br /> <br />POST OFFICE BOX 725/ SAN MARCOS, TEXAS 78666/ AC 512 392-2417 <br /> <br />February 3, 1971 <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />City of San Marcos <br />San Marcos, Texas <br /> <br />Gentlemen: <br /> <br />The following remarks refer to the February 2, 1971 Planning and <br />Zoning Commission meeting: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A. A Public Hearing was held on a zoning change recommended by the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission on lots 117 and 118 in the Park Addition <br />from "P-2" (public use) to "c" (commercial). After due consideration <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission agreed to forward the request to <br />the City Council with the Commission's approval. Please see the <br />attached map. <br /> <br />B. A Public Hearing was held on zoning changes recommended by the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission on lots 45, 46, 47, 48, 66, 67, 68, 69, <br />70, 71, 76, 77, 78, 79, 84, 85, 86, 87, 92, 93, and 136 through 142 <br />in the Park Addition, and a strip 110' x 970' at the rear of block 6 <br />of the College Courts Addition; the Schmidt tract, and the Greene tracts. <br />After due consideration, the Commission agreed to recommend the <br />following zoning changes to the City Council with the Commission's <br />approval: <br /> <br />1.) North of Walnut Street from "P-2" (public use) to <br />"0" (multifamily), up to a line within 150' of the <br />north line of the Schmidt property. <br />2.) The remaining ISO' is to be zoned as "R-2" (duplexes)., <br />3.) The balance of the property is suggested for "R-l" <br />(single family residential) zoning. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Please see the attached plat. <br /> <br />C. A Public Hearing was held on a requested trailer permit received <br />from Mr. Oscar Gu~man on his property - Block 1, Lot 22 of the Feltner <br />Addition, located at 150 Sherwood. There ,being no opposition from <br />propertyowners living within 200 feet of the requested permit, the <br />Commission agreed to forward the request to the City Council with the <br />Commission's approval. <br /> <br />j <br />11 <br />
