P&Z Letter to Council

-2-

3 February 1971

I

D. Mr. James Burwell of the Health Department appeared before the
Commission to report on his research concerning existing Texas Water
Quality Board Order # 70-0731-12, Section 8, and the city Ordinance,
Section 30-4. Copies of each are attached. The report concerned
establishing a time limit requirement for City residents to tie into
existing City sewer facilities.

After due consideration, the Commission passed the following resolution:

"Be it resolved that it be recommended to the City Council
of San Marcos to possibly put some kind of time limit (perhaps
six months) on Section 30-4, so as to expedite the use of
existing City sewer facilities for the reasons outlined in
the attached."

Sincerely yours,

/!i!:;,,~ !.l~

Secretary, Planning and
Zoning Commission

I

I
