He s~~eaJthat other Council Members suggest <br />names so the Committee could be appointed March 22, <br /> <br />The Council received a petition from Luis Gil, jr" for <br />ahnexation of approximately 6 acres of land fronting on <br />IH35 North. Mr. Yarbrough moved that the Council approve <br />the petition for annexation, Mr. King seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for first reading an ordinance annex- <br />ing the 6~acre.Gil tract. Mr. Zavesky moved approval of <br />the annexation ordinance on first reading, Mr. King <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously, <br /> <br />The Council received a petition for annexation of "C" and <br />"D" sections of Hughson Heights, Inc. A plat of the a~ea <br />was studied. Mr. King moved approval of the petition for <br />annexation. Mr, Flores seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance annexing the 10-acre <br />tract comprising "e" and "D" sections of H~ghson Heights. <br />Mr, Zavesky moved approval of the ordinance annexing the <br />10~acre tract. Mr. Flores seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough moved that all committees, commissions and <br />boards appointed by the City Council be asked to submit <br />at least one report during the year, and to send in an <br />annual report this year by April 12. The report should <br />include number of meetings held, matters considered, etc. <br />Mr. King seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough reported that the Land Committee had met <br />to discuss the agricultural lease on the Airport land <br />owned by the City, He said an Invitation to Bid would <br />be published in The Rec~d. <br /> <br />Mr, Flores stated stated that Guillermo de la Rosa <br />had filed for Councilman, Place 2. He had previously <br />been appointed Presiding Judge of Precinct 6, which would <br />necessitate a replacement for the City Officers' Election, <br />April.6. Mr. Flores agreed to try to find someone ~o serve. <br /> <br />The Mayor read aletter.from Jim T. Brown, Executive Di~ector <br />of Urban Renewal Agency, see attached. Mr. Yarbrough moved <br />that a public hearing on San Marcos NDP, Tex,-A-6, Second <br />Year Program. be set for April 12" regular meeting date of <br />the Council, at the Library. Mr. Flores_seconded the motion, <br />which passed u.nanimously. . <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned atS:OO p.m. <br /> <br />I <br />
