Mayor and City Council <br />San Marcos, Texas <br /> <br />Gentlemen: <br /> <br />On May l8 tne City Council set a hearing on <br />my application for re~zoning 1 and one-third acres <br />of my property on Linda Drive, in accordance with <br />notices previously sent to all property owners <br />within 200 feet of this property. <br /> <br />At this meeting there were two objections to <br />this zoning by property owners in the area. <br /> <br />Because I feel that the Zoning Board did not <br />have time to visit and appraise the property I wish <br />to submit to the City Council the follo.ling: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1. This property is on the North side of Linda <br />Drive in the 300 block. <br /> <br />2. An apartment complex is being built on the <br />immediate North side of this property, and <br />a trailer park is located on the ~outh side <br />of this property. <br /> <br />3. This is evidence to me tha.t no one owning <br />property on Smith Lane should have any <br />objections to the re-zoning of this property. <br /> <br />4. Since the only entrance to this property 1s <br />from Linda Drive it seems that this property <br />is best suited for commercial purposes,. <br /> <br />5. Since considerable money has been investadin <br />this property, commercial re-zoning can surely <br />makesurronding property values higher, <br /> <br />6. Since 132x241fe,et of this property is zoned <br />mixed, the remaining 143x2?1 feet will be <br />useless if not re-zoned commercial. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Therefore I respectfully request that this application <br />be reconsidered.
