<br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY <br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip of land <br />not exceeding one-half (!) mile in width, being contiguous <br />and adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for <br />Members of the State Legis~ature, has petitioned the City of <br />San Marcos to annex said strip of land within the Municipal <br />Limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, mark- <br />ed "EXHIBIT A", and made a part hereof for all pertinent <br />purposes; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of <br />San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the <br />City OU San Marcos, Texas, that said strip of land be, and the <br />same is hereby received as part of the City of San Marcos, and <br />the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby ex- <br />tended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth <br />the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the <br />City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances <br />of said City in accordance with law. <br /> <br />This ~arcel is to be zoned "R-l", single family residential. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PASSED on first reading April 26, 1971. <br />PASSED on second reading May 10, 1971. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED May 24, 1971. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~L <br />ayor <br /> <br />Qo <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />00,* ~ b;JJy <br /> <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />d;u,. <br />
