Page 2 The Mayor introduced an ordinance for consideration on second reading and read the following caption: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32), BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF A 1.42 ACRE TRACT IN THE H.B. JONES 1ST ADDITION FROM "R-l" TO "R-2"; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE. I Mr. DeLa Rosa moved approval of the ordinance changing the zon- ing on the 1.42 acre tract from "R-l" to "R-2" on second read- ing. Mrs. Emery seconded the motion, and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: Aye: DeL a Rosa, Emery, Etheredge, Flores, Tauch, Yarbrough Nay: None The Mayor declared the motion passed unanimously. Mr. Oscar T. Teegerstrom, representative for Safeway Stores, Inc. requested that the City Council abandon an alley between Comanche and Fredericksburg streets from Hopkins to nutchison streets. Mr. Gresham made the reconunendation to the Council that the request be referred to the Land Committee for study, and that Mr. Teegerstrom will be notified of their decision. Mr. Gresham requested that the City Council authorize the signing of an agreement between the City of San Marcos and Gibson's, Inc. for the participation in the oversize portion of the construction of a twelve (12) inch water main. I Mr. DeLa Rosa made the motion to approve the request. Mrs. Emery seconded the motion, and on roll call, the follbwing vote was recorded: Aye: DeL a Rosa, Emery, Etheredge, Flores, Tauch, Yarbrough Nay: None The Mayor declared the motion passed unanimously.
