september 13, 1971 page four The Mayor introduced an ordinance with the following caption: AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS INTO SAID CITY Mr. Etheredge moved approval on third and final reading of the ordinance annexing 29.~2 acres into the City Limits. Mr. Flores seconded the motion and on roll call, the followg ing vote was recorded: AYE: DeLa Rosa, Emery, Etheredge, Flores, King, Tauch, Yarbrough I NAY: None The Mayor declared the ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. Councilman King moved that the Council adopt Budget, as presented. Mrs. Emery seconded the call, the. following vote was recorded: the 1971-1972 motion. On roll AYE: DeLa Rosa, Emery, Etheredge, Flores, King, Tauch, Yarbrough NAY: None The Mayor declared the motion carried. Dr. Tauch introduced for discussion the need for redrafting the Zoning Ordinance. The City Manager said it was a task for specialists. CouncilmBn DeLa Rosa said he had had many complaints from .ci tizens about the condition of Thorp Lane. The Mayor said I they were still trying to aqquire the necessary right-of-way to widen and pave the street. Mr. Flores moved that Mrs. Laura L. Ramsay, Dr. Charles Willms and Mr. Gilbert Medina be reappointed for a two-year term on the Urban Renewal Board. Mr.. King seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
