<br />I The Mayor called the meeting to order at. 7: 30 p.m.
<br />The Rev. Paul Geiger, Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, gave
<br />the Invocation.
<br />
<br />The Minutes of July 28, 1969 w~re approv~d as presented, on
<br />motion of Mr. Zaveskyand second of Mr. Smith.
<br />
<br />The Mayor called for a report on the Traffic Survey Study Committee
<br />from the Chairman, Councilman Hollis Sini th. A copy of ~he six
<br />items given priority are attached and made a part of the Minutes.
<br />All but ltem#5 (extension of Bishop Street) had been studied by
<br />the Council in previous sessions. Mr. Smith suggested, in addition,
<br />that a questionnaire be sent to the citizenry, asking for suggest-
<br />ions for improvement of traffic flow. Discussion followed.
<br />Councilman Smith moved that the priority suggestions, as presented,
<br />be approved, with the exception of #5, which would require further
<br />study, and that a questionnaire be sent 6ut t6 the citizens of
<br />Sari Marcos, and that the opinion of ~he public be upheld. The Mayor
<br />seconded the motion ,and on roll call. the following vote was recorded:

<br />NAY: Craddock, Flores, Zavesky
<br />
<br />The Mayor d~clared a tie vote.
<br />
<br />Mr. Zavesky moved that the six suggestions be approved,_and if
<br />congestion still prevailed, that parallel parking and one-way
<br />streets be adopted. Mr. Flores seconded the motion, and on roll
<br />call, t~e following vote was r~corded:

<br />The Mayor declared the motion carried.
