I August R, 1969 The following is to be considered by the City Council at its pleasure for the benefit of our local citizens. 1. That the City Park be available for rallies consisting of travel trailer clubs, pick-up camper clubs, and tenting clubs beginning the day after Labor Day each year to June 1, each year. 2 . That any and every request for an organized rally be accompanied by a payment of $25.00 as an expression of good faith on the part of the club to use the date set aside and reserved for such rally. The $25.00 to be returned to the club when the rally is completed. In event such club does not use the date or dates specified, the $25.00 is not to be returned, but is to be retained by the City of San Marcos. I 3. The members of all such clubs that have pets t including over-nighters, shall use only the grass covered area of the park on the north side of the recreation building, and at no time shall they allow their pets to run free without a leash, and all exercise for pets shall be done in the same area. At no time shall any pet be allowed in the picnic area or in the rec- reation building for reasons of sanitation. The park caretaker shall im- mediately notify the city pound to pick up any animal found in the park not on a leash. The term UPets" shall mean any hair or fur bearing animal. Any violation of this regulation may be grounds for denying further use of the City Park to such person. 4. A copy of these regulations shall be posted in and on the recreation build- ing and a copy shall be mailed to each and every club requesting reservations for a rally. The following is offered for consideration as an ordinance for the protection of children and elderly people with appropriate penalty for violation. "That any and all wheeled vehicles moving in the City Park shall be limited to a speed not exceeding 10 MPR." WINTER LOGAN I " fi \J
