STATE OF TEXAS I COUNTY OF HAYS I THE UNDERSIGNED owner of a strip of land contiguous and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (~) mile in width and further having less than three residents, in accordance with Section 974g of VATS, hereby petitions the Governing Body of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to accept said strip of land within its corporate limits that it may receive all the benefits and privileges of being a part of the City of San Marcos, Texas. A plat of the area is attached hereto and marked as "Exhibit A", the said strip of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds, as follows: "All that certain lot of ground out of the J.W. Berry Survey in Hays County, Texas, and being a part of a two(2) acre block reserved to Patsy SmileI' in deed from her and others to Will G. Barber dated Aug.7,1909, recorded in Book 63, pages 55-58, Hays County Deed Records, wherein said 2 acres is described. The piece of the two acres conveyed hereby is 137 feet wide NW U SE by 148 feet long SW U NE. The most SE line is 191 feet from and parallel to the most SE line of said two acres, which last named line is also the NW line of the Holland tract. The most NW line of the piece conveyed hereby is parallel to and 137 feet from the most SE line thereof, and for length same runS from the Public Road on the NE end to the old Malone tract on the SW end 148 feet.
