<br />Ii !\ <br /> <br />regular meetingf october 27, 1969 <br /> <br />page two <br /> <br />The Mayor announced that appointments were to be made <br />for three boards. Dr. Craddock moved that Miss <br />Betty Kissler be named to the Steering Committee of <br />Community Action, Inc., as one of the City's representa- <br />tives. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Zavesky moved that Mr. Harvey Miller and Mr. Robert <br />Elder be appointed to the Planning & Zoning Commission. <br />Mr. Smith seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor said two names had been submitted to fill one <br />vacancy on the Urban Renewal Bpard: Ralph Gonzales and <br />Henry S. Cruz. Tabulation of written ballots showed <br />Mr. Gonzales to have rece.i ved the greater number of votes. <br /> <br />Councilman Smith and the Mayor expressed the thanks of <br />the Council to Mr. Cruz for making himself available for <br />the post. <br /> <br />The Mayor stated.the Texas Municipal Le€1gue would meet in <br />Sari Antonio! Nov. 9-11. Since a majority of the Council <br />planned to attend the meeting, Mr. Serur proposed chang- <br />ing the regular meeting of the Council to another date. <br />Dr. Craddock moved that the Council hold its first regu- <br />lar meeting' of the month on November 17. Mr . Smith second- <br />ed the motion, which pas~ed unanimously. <br /> <br />The City Manager forwarded a request from City Tax Assessor- <br />Collector George Reed on a delinquent tax matter, The letter <br />is attached and made a part of the Minutes. Mr. Bean I <br />recommended that the property~owner in question be allowed <br />to pay the delinquent taxes and repossess the property. <br />Dr. Craddock moved that the Mayor be authorized to issue <br />a quit-claim deed to Wiley Rudolph Foster for part of <br />Lot B, Blk. 1.B.W. Breeding Addition. Councilman Zavesky <br />seconded the motion and on roll call, the following Vote <br />was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, Contreras, 'Flores, Serur, Smith, Zavesky <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br />
