I I! regular meeting, november 17, 1969 page two moved that Mr. King's request be granted, and that the Fire Zone Ordinance be amended to exclude Lots 4,5 & 6 of Block 6, Original Town of San Marcos from Fire Zone One. Councilman Smith seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Craddock, Contreras, Dannelley, Flores, Smith, Zavesky NAY: None I The Mayor Pro Tem declared the motion carried. Mr. Dannelley introduced by caption an ordinance abandon- ing Ivey Way. Mr. Flores moved adoption of the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Craddock, Contreras, Dannelley, Flores, Smith Zavesky NAY: None The Mayor Pro Tem declared the Ordinance Passed on second reading. On motion of Mr. Flores, the Council voted unanimously to table a Resolution requesting the continuance of passenger service on the Missouri Pacific Railroad. The Mayor Pro Tem intruduced for discussion the appoint- ment of two Councilmen to the Board of the Capital Area Council of Governments. By common consent the Council agreed to make the appointments at the next meeting. I Mr. Zavesky 'enquired i fthere were some way to replace the ornamental lights on the San Marcos River Bridge near Sewell Park. Mr ,Bean .said he would approach the Highway Department about the matter. The City Manager presented a proposal from Tiner Insurance Agency which would provide Comprehensive Insurance to con- form with the "Torts~Claim Act"recently passed by the Texas Legislature. He asked that Council members study the plan and consider actio'n on the 'proposal at the November 24 meeting. Mr. Bean forwarded a request for rezoning on Lot 1, Blk.4, Rio Vista Terrace. Dr. Craddock moved that action be de- ferreduntil full membership of the Council was present. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
