Dannelley introduced an ordinance amending the fire <br />limits ordinance. Caption follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN crRDINANCf AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ADOPTED ON <br />DECEMBER 4, 1951, BY DELETING CERTAIN TERRITORY <br />PRESENTLY WITHIN THE FIRE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; INCORPORATING HEREIN BY REF- <br />ERENCE ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS HERETOFORE <br />PROMULGATED BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS REGULATING <br />FIRE LIMITS; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND <br />ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />Mr. Contreras moved adoption of the Ordinance on first <br />reading. Mr. Smith seconded th~ motion and on roll call <br />the following Vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, Contreras, Dannelley, Flores, <br />Smith. Zavesky <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro Tem declared the Ordinance passed on <br />first reading. <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro Tem intnoduced a petition for ann~xation of I <br />40.5 acres owned by Thermon Industrial Development Corp. <br />Dr. Cradd06k moved that the Council approve the petition. <br />Mr. Zavesky seconded the~otion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Dannelley read ~ letterf~om the Planning &'Zoning <br />Commission, Hlrwarding a request for change of zoning <br />on a 1.5 'acre tract, with a recommendation 'for approval. <br />Dr. Craddock movedJ.the 1.5 aCre tract on Lamar Street <br />owned by Mrs. Mayme Warren b~ changed from "R-I" to <br />"D-multi-famil~". Mr. Floressec6ndedthe motion, and <br />on roll call. the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, Contreras, Dannelley, Flores, <br />NAY:,Smith, Zavesky <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro Tem declared the motion carried by a 4-2 vote. <br /> <br />Mr. Dannelley ~eminded Councilmen +hat two members must be <br />appointed to +he Boar'd of'the Capital Area Council of <br />Governments. Dr. Cr.dd06k and M~. Dannelley agreed to serve. <br /> <br />Don En~is ~f Tiner Insuran~e Agency appe.red before the <br />C'ouncil +0 present a Comprehensive Insurance Plan for the I <br />City oPS.n Marcos. It was ag~eed'to postpone action until <br />the December 8 meeting~ <br /> <br />The City Managerint~oduced For consideration the renewal <br />of a contract with Attorney Gates Steen for collection of <br />deli quent takes. Mr. Zavesk moved, that Gates Steen's <br />cont act be renewed for twoy ars. Mr. Smith seconded the <br />moti n,which passed unahimou ly. <br />
