I.c,( I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ADOPTED ON DECEMBER 4, 1951, BY DELETING CERTAIN TERRITORY PRESENTLY WITHIN THE FIRE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; INCORPOR- ATING HEREIN BY REFERENCE ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS HERETOFORE PROMULGATED BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS REGULATING FIRE LIMITS; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council of the City of San Marcos that the best interest of the City and its citizens would be served by deleting certain territory presently within the Fire Limits of the City of San Marcos, Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas: SECTION 1. An Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of San Marcos, on the 4th day of December, 1951, and recorded in Volume 14, Page 44 of the Minutes of the Governing Body be amended to delete the following territory: All of Lots Four, Five and Six of Block Six of the Original Town of San Marcos. I SECTION 11. All other ordinances or resolutions previously or~ined or approved by the Governing Body of the City of San Marcos in connection with the Fire Limits of the City of San Marcos shall remain in full force and effect and are in- corporated herein, by reference, and made a part hereof as though expressly stated herein. SECTION 111. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence or section of this ordinance shall be held to be invalid or unconstitut- ional by a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not in- validate any of the remainder of this ordinance. SECTION lV. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon and after its final passage and publication. PASSED on first reading November 24, 1969. PASSED on second reading December 8, 1969.
